Sattu is a mixture of ground pulses & cereals. It is commonly served cold as a savory drink during intense heat waves in summer or as a porridge or soft dough. Ruchi (Frozit) Sattu in Odisha is a popular breakfast and also called as “Chatua”, made from various roasted multigrains like chickpeas, flatten rice, maize, wheat, etc. Though there are many different ways to prepare Chatua aka Sattu, it is generally mixed with ripe bananas, cottage cheese (Chenna), yogurt or milk. It is a power booster food & served as a traditional Indian breakfast.
